Social media is becoming a go-to tactic for marketing to members and vendors. However, many purchasing cooperatives have not found the best way to use social media to differentiate themselves in the market. This session will discuss social media as a strategy of market differentiation and member engagement: audience identification, message crafting, and ways to employ social media as a two ways communication tool. In addition, it will talk about the power of consumer reviews, off page search engine optimization (SEO) as well as the importance of personalization to today’s consumers.
