Meeting to discuss the success of NCBA CLUSA’s Feed the Future project in Senegal, Chief of Party Todd Crosby (middle right) met with staff from Representative Charlie Dent’s (R-PA) office and Representative David Cicilline’s (D-RI) and the House Budget Committee.
Todd was joined by (from left to right): Dillon Chapman, Associate Program Manager for Senegal, Amy Coughenour, Chief Operations Officer for International Development, and Alan Knapp, Vice President for Advocacy. The visits allowed NCBA CLUSA to show the dramatic effect the Yaajeende project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is having on the farmers and their families in rural Senegal. Representative Dent sits on the State, Foreign Operations and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee, which has jurisdiction over the USAID budget and Representative Cicilline sits on the Africa Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, adding to the impact of this timely visit.
