Mi Oh My (MOM) is hiring an Urban Agriculture Educator/Teaching Farmer to bring superfoods science to NYC classrooms.
Imagine walking into a school in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Harlem, or Staten Island and watching a 10-year-old’s eyes light up the moment their microgreens break the soil. That’s your Monday morning.
At MOM, we believe every young person deserves to know where their food comes from – and the power to grow it themselves. Our Urban Agriculture Educators bring that vision to life every day, delivering hands-on STEAM lessons in hydroponics, aquaponics, mushroom cultivation, and urban farming to K-12 students and adult learners across all five boroughs.
This role fits you if:
- Teaching energizes you and community drives you
- You carry genuine passion for food justice and urban agriculture
- You thrive in dynamic, hands-on environments
- You speak English and Spanish or Mandarin (strongly preferred)
What MOM offers:
- $22-$30/hr. as a W2 employee after a paid training period at $20/hr.
- Travel time between sites counts as paid hours
