The Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF) is accepting nominations for the 2025 Cooperative Hall of Fame. Nominations can be made by going to heroes.coop/nominations and must be submitted by September 13.

Established in 1974, the Cooperative Hall of Fame is the highest honor the U.S. cooperative community bestows on extraordinary individuals who have made genuinely heroic contributions in support of cooperatives. The stories of those inducted into the Cooperative Hall of Fame demonstrate that there is no one path for induction.

Candidates as evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Statesmanship – Demonstrated innovation, personal commitment, leadership, and vision beyond the professional competence and requirement of the position in which they served the cooperative sector.
  • Lasting Achievement – Achieved identifiable and lasting change to improve and promote cooperatives.
  • Cooperative Advancement – Inspired and persuaded others to act to advance the cooperative system.
  • Recognition – Recognized for work related to cooperatives at the local, regional, national, or international level.

Help us celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives in 2025 by submitting nominations for individuals who have a track record of accomplishments that have benefited the cooperative community.

On October 3, the five newest members of the Cooperative Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Hamilton Hotel in Washington, DC. The event is almost sold out. Purchase your ticket at heroes.coop/sponsorship-tickets and join us in the festivities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cooperative Hall of Fame
