With ongoing administrative activity and a dynamic legislative landscape shaping policy priorities in Washington, DC, the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives‘ 2026 Washington Conference gives farmer co-op leaders from around the country a timely opportunity to engage with key policymakers at a critical juncture.
This year’s program centers around advocacy and prioritizes taking the co-op message directly to Capitol Hill and the administration.
In an effort to maximize your time in Washington, DC and broaden our collective impact, attendees’ meeting schedule will be prioritized first by members of Congress of targeted committees based on specific issues of concern, then by each attendee’s specific Congressional delegation, followed by your co-op’s operational footprint.
With guidance from our Government Affairs Committee, NCFC staff will identify our most pressing policy issues for this summer and use those to create a strategic list of relevant members of Congress to focus our lobbying efforts on. Please note, as we get closer to the Washington Conference, these issues may change based on myriad factors like Congress’s legislative priorities, activities in and around Capitol Hill, and the administration’s policy priorities. Similar to last year, each attendee will be assigned to a small group.
