Free and open to everyone, this event will feature Shared Capital’s impact over the past year and highlight co-ops nationwide whose responses to COVID-19 is innovative and inspiring. The meeting will be hosted by NCBA CLUSA on the GoToWebinar platform.
Tomorrow’s webinar will feature a brief business meeting reporting on Shared Capital’s activities and impact, as well as a cooperative forum lifting up examples of resilience, innovation and inspiration from cooperatives serving their members and communities during the global pandemic.
Shared Capital Cooperative is a national loan fund and federally certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) working to build a just, equitable and democratic economy by investing in cooperatives. Shared Capital is owned by 250 cooperative members across 35 states. By borrowing from and investing in the fund, members directly engage in Shared Capital’s work, connecting cooperatives and capital and supporting shared economic prosperity and ownership. Since it was founded in 1978, Shared Capital has made nearly 875 loans totaling more than $52 million to cooperatives nationwide.
