In partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Rural Development, NCBA CLUSA is hosting two webinars in early May to walk our members and stakeholders through the application process for the current Rural Cooperative Development Grant (RCDG) program and Socially Disadvantaged Groups Grant (SDGG) program submission windows. Importantly, both RCDG and SDGG grant programs share an application deadline of June 3, 2024 at 11:59 pm EDT—less than six weeks away.
Featuring experts from USDA, these webinars are great opportunities for co-op development centers, nonprofit groups and institutions of higher education to gain insights into both programs, ask questions about the application process, and strengthen their applications ahead of the June 3 submission deadline. Our USDA partners will address key components within the grant application, scoring criteria and tips on documentation, as well as field audience questions.
Don’t miss this chance to strengthen your RCDG or SDGG grant application.
Register for our RCDG webinar on May 13
Register for our SDGG webinar on May 16
Both webinars will be presented in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.
About RCDG and SDGG
USDA’s Business Programs provide financial backing and technical assistance to spur business creation and growth. These USDA programs work through partnerships with public and private community-based organizations and financial institutions to provide financial assistance, business development and technical assistance to rural businesses. The Rural Cooperative Development Grant (RCDG) program improves the economic condition of rural areas by helping individuals and businesses start, expand or improve rural co-ops through cooperative development centers. The primary objective of the Socially Disadvantaged Groups Grant (SDGG) program is to provide technical assistance to socially-disadvantaged groups through cooperatives and cooperative development centers.
Funding for these programs helps improve quality of life in rural communities by creating economic opportunities and ensuring sustainability for generations to come.
