NCBA CLUSA’s Prepare for IMPACT pre-conference webinars are designed to prepare attendees for discussions at NCBA CLUSA’s 2017 Cooperative IMPACT Conference in October. This exclusive three-part series will examine Business Intelligence for cooperatives, using some examples from the purchasing co-op sector. Register now for Part 1, “What is Business Intelligence?” on May 23, 2017 from 1 – 2 p.m.
Since 2005, successful implementation and adoption of Business Intelligence (BI) has wavered between 18 and 24 percent. For cooperatives considering a BI investment, a 75+ percent failure rate is almost enough to merit turning a blind eye. The hard cost, staff time and resource commitment puts not just the co-op at risk for financial disaster, but also its members. This is especially the case for purchasing cooperatives whose independent business owners rely on the co-op to provide the tools to keep them competitive in the market.
To help all NCBA CLUSA members and attendees of the IMPACT Conference understand both the risks and the value of business intelligence, we’ve recruited Medullus Systems, a global software solutions company and Associate Member of NCBA CLUSA; and CoMetrics, a worker co-op and member of NCBA CLUSA. Medullus and CoMetrics will lead attendees through a three-part webinar series that will illuminate key BI best practices—chiefly around understanding what BI actually is, how to collect the right data and, ultimately, how to use that data to make strategic decisions to improve your co-op.
Part 1, “What is Business Intelligence?” will feature Medullus Systems CEO Roni Banerjee. During this webinar, attendees will:
- Learn what “Business Intelligence” means in today’s world
- View benchmarks from industries that have transformed using good BI solutions
- Examine a few examples of “(in)glorious” BI failures and why they happened
- Explore why good BI implementation can bring operational efficiency and competitive advantage
- Learn what comprises a good BI implementation
- Have an opportunity for extensive Q&A
