NCBA CLUSA is pleased to announce that REI Co-op’s Washington DC Flagship Store will host the opening night reception of the 2019 Co-op IMPACT Conference, presented in partnership with America’s Electric Cooperatives and Capital Impact Partners.
“REI’s Washington DC Flagship is happy to partner with NCBA CLUSA to host the conference kick-off reception,” General Manager Caiti Anderson said. “It will be a great way to celebrate cooperatives and the communities they represent!”
With 17 million members, REI Co-op is the nation’s largest consumer-owned retail cooperative.
Since REI Co-op’s founding in 1938, its cooperative identity has shaped “every moment and decision we make,” Anderson added. In 2015, the outdoor retailer introduced a new logo—the first to include the word “co-op” since 1983.
“REI in Washington DC helps shine a light on the co-op community by growing a sound business with a strong purpose, and celebrating all aspects of what it means to be a co-op,” Anderson said. “[For] 81 years, operating for the benefit of our members and helping to create a life well-lived outdoors has been our guiding principle.”
REI Co-op’s Washington, DC Flagship Store is located at 201 M St. NE, Washington, DC 20002, across from the NoMa-Gallaudet metro stop on the red line.
