Chad Helminak is the Director of DE and Cooperative Culture at the National Credit Union Foundation. In this role, he oversees the foundation’s educational programming which reinforces the practice of cooperative business principles and empathy within the credit union system. This work includes the Foundation’s signature Credit Union Development Education (DE) Program as well as custom workshops, actionable resources and experiential activities suited for both in-person and virtual environments.
Chad is a seasoned facilitator and creative consultant with nearly 15 years of experience in exploring new ideas and serving others in the credit union space. He specializes in the areas of culture and leadership development, strategic communications, and applied research and innovation. Prior to joining NCUF, Chad held roles at CUNA Mutual Group, Heritage Credit Union, Filene Research Institute and the Wisconsin Credit Union League. He has served on a variety of boards, led the development of statewide professional networks, and created a financial education music album for kids.
