Banyan Global
Louis “Louie” Alexander is a Principal at Banyan Global, a woman-owned, small business consulting firm where he oversees youth programs, including the YouthPower IDIQ and Managing the at-risk youth workforce development Empleando Futuros project in Honduras.
Louis has designed and managed complex projects in the areas of at-risk youth, enterprise development, and economic development and reconstruction in high–risk areas around the globe. He has also served as a board advisor to local organizations in microfinance and youth–focused programming in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
Prior to Banyan Global, Louis was Peace Corps Country Director in Paraguay and the Senior Programs Director at the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) in Washington, DC, where he oversaw projects focused on at-risk youth, entrepreneurship, citizen security/crime prevention and anti-trafficking in Mexico, Venezuela, Central America and the Caribbean. Louis also served overseas managing projects and as country director while working for CARE in Ecuador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Uganda, Egypt and Tajikistan. He holds a master’s degree from Teacher’s College at Columbia University.
