Global Development Director

Marcel Petrutiu is the Global Development Director for URUS Group, the corporate holding company for GENEX Cooperative. In this role, Marcel is responsible for managing and coordinating the URUS international CSR activities, including the GENEX cooperative development program and other projects to enable smallholder farmers in the developing countries to be profitable and sustainable. He is also responsible for mergers and acquisitions and other corporate development activities. Prior to his current role, Marcel worked in business consulting, international sales and biotechnology research and business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (with a certificate in Sustainable Business).
