Marea is a Program Officer working with the Bureau for Resilience & Food Security at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where she provides technical support to facilitate partnerships with the Agency and liaise with private sector representatives in the strategic development and implementation of partnership activities. Prior to joining USAID, she was the Food Security & Livelihoods Program Coordinator at Food for the Hungry focusing on Development Food Assistance Programs in Ethiopia and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Marea earned a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Sam Houston State University.
