Paul Guenette has designed and managed sustainable development programs over a career spanning 45 years and 90 countries. His international career began in Peace Corps Senegal and includes long-term assignments in Mauritania, Indonesia, Barbados and Kenya leading field programs. Bringing smallholder producers together for better market access has been a central technical theme in his career.
Paul has been with ACDI/VOCA in leadership positions since 2006 including stints as Acting President and Board Secretary. He coordinates corporate strategic planning, develops public-private partnerships, and supports external communications. Previously, Paul led the Agribusiness Unit of Deloitte Emerging Markets Group through a strategy and new business campaign, then managed field programs in Eastern Europe in trade, organizational strengthening, investment promotion and market development. At Development Alternatives Inc. He provided management and systems guidance to international development projects including agribusiness, market linkages and institutional strengthening.
Paul speaks fluent French. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Kalamazoo College and his MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
