Russell Tucker is Chief Economist at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) where he provides economic analysis to help America’s Electric Co-ops adapt and thrive in today’s challenging environment. His focus includes rural broadband, economic impact modeling and energy market issues. Prior to joining NRECA in 2008, Russell was Director of Federal Regulatory Affairs at the Edison Electric Institute with a focus on wholesale electricity market restructuring and electric transmission regulation. Russell holds a Ph.D. in Economics from The George Washington University, a master’s degree from the American University, and a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
