Zen Trenholm

Zen Trenholm is a Program Manager with the Democracy at Work Institute (DAWI) building capacity, partnerships and resources to scale worker ownership across the country. He currently leads the Shared Equity in Economic Development (SEED) Fellowship Program, where he convenes and equips city and community leaders with tools and support to build equitable economies using worker ownership. Zen also coordinates DAWI’s federal, state and local policy work with the U.S. Federation of Worker Cooperatives.

Prior to DAWI he was an organizer for fossil fuel divestment and a director at the California Student Sustainability Coalition. Zen has a bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Resource Studies with a special focus on Cooperative Business Development from UC Berkeley, where he co-founded the Student Environmental Resource Center and served on the board of the Berkeley Student Food Collective.
