Ahead of ICA’s World Cooperative Congress, see how cooperatives in North America are rebuilding the global economy

NCBA CLUSA co-hosted a conversation with the North American cooperative community that explored how cooperatives are helping rebuild the global economy.”People, Planet, Prosperity: Contributions from the Cooperatives of North America and the Caribbean to Rebuilding the Global Economy,” took place on Monday, September 20 organized with Cooperatives of the Americas.

The conversation was moderated by Carla Decker, president and CEO of DC Credit Union and chair of NCBA CLUSA’s Board of Directors. Doug O’Brien, president and CEO of NCBA CLUSA, presented during the webinar on cooperatives’ role in rebuilding the global economy.

This event was designed to celebrate and highlight essential elements of our cooperative identity. The program also included time for participants to share examples from their own country. The webinar helped inform the 22nd Regional Conference of Cooperatives of the Americas, as well as shaped input from the Americas to the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA)’s 33rd World Cooperative Congress in December 2021.
