Calling all new and emerging cooperative leaders! There are only a few days left to apply to be part of the 2025 cohort of the Cooperative Leaders and Scholars (CLS) program. Submit your application by 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, February 3.
The Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF) and NCBA CLUSA’s Cooperative Leaders and Scholars (CLS) program was created to build capacity and support networks for new and emerging leaders and scholars engaged in cooperatives and cooperative development. Established in the 1990s, CLS has trained 120 cooperative leaders and scholars since a major overhaul in 2017.
CLS benefits the cooperative community by:
- Attracting, engaging and retaining talent
- Deepening and broadening knowledge of cooperatives and providing training for the next generation of leaders
- Bringing together cooperators from every sector to foster cross-sectoral relationship, networks and collaboration early in their careers
The Cooperative Leaders and Scholars program experience is open to new and emerging cooperators, including current employees or board members, post-secondary students, or others interested in working for, creating or leading a cooperative or cooperative organization.
