We’re less than six weeks out from the 2024 Cooperative IMPACT Conference, the only national, cross-sector event attended by hundreds of co-op developers, financers, community and city leaders, innovators, thought leaders, economists, policymakers and international development practitioners.
We’re excited to welcome you to our new location at Convene Hamilton Square in downtown Washington, DC in October. This state-of-the-art venue offers built-in technology, collaborative common areas, unlimited beverages and snacks, and plenty of natural light for an uplifting environment that inspires learning and collaboration.
Our theme this year is “The Future is Cooperative.” With the 2025 International Year of Cooperatives on the horizon, now is the time to build momentum toward a better tomorrow, together. At IMPACT 2024, we’ll fuel a global awareness and advocacy movement to lift up the people-centered businesses at the heart of our communities and economies. Join us as we envision a cooperative future!
And be sure to attend our Thursday afternoon session, “A First Look at NCBA CLUSA’s IYC2025 Plans.” As the UN propels cooperatives into the global spotlight, we’re giving you an exclusive preview of the strategies and tools that will define co-ops in 2025. From innovative communications strategies to powerful storytelling tools, this session will unveil how NCBA CLUSA plans to amplify the voices of U.S. cooperatives on the world stage. Don’t miss your chance to shape this transformative moment—2025 is set to be a game-changer, and it all starts here.

New Programming and Speakers
New at IMPACT this year are our Lightning Talks, featuring game-changing ideas and innovative strategies to propel the cooperative movement into the future. Inspired by the TEDx Talk format, Lightning Talks are designed to ignite discussion, inspire action and help shape the future of the cooperative movement. Our topics include AI, DEI, Gen Z and Millennial Empowerment, Principle 6, Volunteer Leadership and Measuring Co-op Impact. Here are a few snapshots:
- From the Detroit People’s Food Cooperative’s Angeline Lawrence, we’ll hear about data-driven democracy
- From Organic Vally’s Silvia Abel-Caines, we’ll learn how volunteerism can supercharge cooperative leadership
- From CooperationWorks!’s Alex Stone, we’ll explore how a solidarity fund could harness the capacity of the co-op movement for future growth and impact
