In an op-ed published this week by The Hill, Representatives Ed Royce (R-CA) and Mark Pocan (D-WI)—co-chairs of the Congressional Cooperative Business Caucus—point out that despite the cooperative business model’s long track record of empowering working Americans and developing underserved communities, it is not often considered when lawmakers and the private sector discuss policies that will grow the U.S. economy.
