In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, this week’s episode features Pablo DeFilippi, Vice Chair of the National Association of Latino Credit Unions and Executive Vice President at Inclusiv. Pablo will share his insights and projections on cooperative finance and inclusion.
Inclusiv is a national CDFI network of more than 500 community development credit unions that collectively serve 22 million consumers and manage $300 billion in community-owned assets. With over 25 years of experience in community finance, DeFilippi is recognized as a leading advocate for financial inclusion, equity and cooperative growth.
Originally from Chile, DeFilippi began his U.S. credit union career at Municipal Credit Union before becoming CEO of the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union, a pioneering institution serving immigrant and underserved communities in New York City. He later directed the World Council of Credit Unions’ International Remittance Program, expanding affordable money transfer services worldwide.
A champion of cooperatives, DeFilippi helped launch the .coop domain and has supported cooperative development internationally. He currently sits on several national advisory councils.
