Under the Youth Empowerment Through Agriculture (YETA) project in Uganda, 19 youth-led cooperatives (17 primary cooperatives and two Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations) are registered with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperative. These cooperatives have a combined membership total of 3,745 youth and 46.2 percent of leadership in the primary cooperatives are young women.
