Hosted by NCBA CLUSA, the ongoing webinar series convenes the cooperative stakeholder community to hear directly from Administrator Salerno and her staff about the strategic direction her agency is taking as it implements administration and department priorities and initiatives, including the recent Farm Bill.

NCBA CLUSA will moderate the discussion and provide a legislative update on the status of fiscal year 2015 funding for the Rural Cooperative Development Grant program. The USDA is expected to overview RCDG funding initiatives for fiscal year 2014 and explain how the department’s focus on poverty alleviation, Promise Zones, community economic development and co-op services inform the program.

Topics may include community economic development, Promise Zones, the Rural Cooperative Development Grant program and the Interagency Working Group on cooperative development, among others. Participants will learn how the cooperative sector is playing a role in development and are invited to engage in an online discussion expected to provide the agency with valuable input and help shape the conversation going forward.

NCBA CLUSA and the USDA are offering this webinar free of charge.
