Join NCBA CLUSA and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Cooperative Services staff on Wednesday, May 31 from 2:30-4 pm EDT for an informational webinar on the Rural Cooperative Development Grant (RCDG) program.
RCDG grant funding can provide up to $200,000 to assist nonprofits or institutions of higher education in creating and operating a center that will provide technical assistance to groups interested in becoming a cooperative or strengthening existing cooperatives in rural areas. Examples of technical assistance and other services centers provide include:
- Conducting feasibility studies
- Developing business plans
- Providing leadership and operational improvement training
- Facilitating strategic planning
USDA is accepting applications for the RCDG program until June 26, 2023.
As the application deadline for the RCDG program approaches, this webinar is an opportunity for co-op development centers, nonprofit groups and institutions of higher education to gather information and ask any questions about the program and application process. USDA Rural Development-Cooperative Services will address required items needed within the grant application, scoring criteria, tips on documentation, and field questions from the attendees.
