On April 20, from 2 – 3 p.m., NCBA CLUSA’s Advocacy and Communication staff will host a webinar to prepare all 2016 Annual Cooperatives Conference registrants for our second annual Hike the Hill event.

Every registrant for NCBA CLUSA’s 2016 Annual Cooperatives Conference will be assigned to an Advocacy Team. On May 3, each team will participate in scheduled meetings with senators, representatives and/or their staff members on Capitol Hill.

During this webinar, NCBA CLUSA’s Advocacy and Communication staff will prepare the team members for these meetings by reviewing messaging, advocacy techniques and etiquette. Please plan now to participate in this important webinar. To receive your unique access code for this webinar, visit https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2263415426854868226

Webinar attendees and conference registrants will also receive a toolkit containing this year’s talking points and congress member “asks,” which include joining the newly formed Congressional Cooperative Business Caucus and asking the U.S. Census Bureau to include the cooperative business sector in its 2017 Economic Census. Including co-ops in the census will close the critical information gap on where and how co-ops operate in the U.S. and the economic impact they make.

NCBA CLUSA’s Annual Cooperatives Conference is the only cross-sector conference for cooperatives in the nation’s capitol that speaks with a united voice to our elected officials and policymakers about issues critical to U.S. cooperatives.

Early-bird registration rates for this conference are in effect until Thursday, March 31. Click here to register and view a list of other Co-op Week events and activities.
