America’s electric co-ops began working to bring electricity to sub-Saharan Africa in the mid-1980s. Dan Waddle, NRECA International’s Senior Vice President, was on Capitol Hill recently with Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and co-chair of NCBA CLUSA’s Congressional Cooperative Business Caucus, to make the case that the efforts behind the successful Electrify Africa Act should continue.
