A trip organized by NCBA CLUSA’s U.S. – Cuba Cooperative Working Group was covered this week in The Union, a daily newspaper serving Western Nevada County, California, which reported on the experience of Chris Maher, general manager of NCBA CLUSA member BriarPatch Co-op. Maher was among dozens of cooperative leaders who traveled to Cuba in June 2016 to tour and support the Caribbean nation’s emerging co-op sector and discuss the potential for partnerships between U.S. and Cuban cooperatives.
