NCBA CLUSA is pleased to announce that Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), a cooperative advocate, will be the keynote speaker during a breakfast session of the 2015 Annual Cooperatives Conference on Tuesday, May 5, from 8 – 9 a.m. Register now—don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the impact of cooperatives on the nation’s economy during the first cross-sector cooperative advocacy conference.

NCBA CLUSA has asked Senator Franken to address key legislative issues, including tax reform and appropriations, that could impact cooperative business development, as well as the role of cooperatives in creating jobs and strengthening the U.S. economy.

Senator Franken’s keynote address is expected to set the tone for conversations later in the day between conference attendees and federal elected officials during guided “Hike the Hill” advocacy meetings.

With its theme, “Uncommon Power, Common Purpose,” the 2015 Annual Cooperatives Conference will engage NCBA CLUSA members and supporters as key partners in communicating to policymakers and administration officials the impact cooperatives have on the communities they represent.
