Nominations for NCBA CLUSA’s 2024 Board of Directors are due February 16, 2024

Please consider helping lead efforts to develop, advance and protect cooperatives in the U.S. and around the world by running for the Board of NCBA CLUSA. The Board has five open seats this election cycle. Members of NCBA CLUSA who are interested in running to become a director should complete and submit this Nomination Form with the requested supplemental material to the Nominating Committee no later than February 16, 2024. An NCBA CLUSA Board-appointed Nominating Committee, composed of members of the NCBA CLUSA Board of Directors, will review all nominations to verify the candidates’ eligibility per the association’s bylaws. To be eligible for election, a candidate must be either a director or a delegate of a Cooperative Member, Cooperative Association Member, an Associate Member OR an individual member of NCBA CLUSA in good standing.

By March 11, 2024, the Nominating Committee will present to the NCBA CLUSA membership a slate of candidates. The slated candidates’ biographical sketches, candidate statements and photographs will be published on the NCBA CLUSA website and in Co-op Weekly. The information will also be posted in the online election system administered by Simply Voting.

As you consider running for the Board, note that NCBA CLUSA emphasizes the importance of diversity in the Board’s composition as well as the priority of diversity, equity and inclusion in the work of the association. Please include your experience and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in your materials.

The online election will open on March 11 and close on April 19. During this period, NCBA CLUSA Cooperative and Cooperative Association Members in good standing will be able to cast their votes.

The NCBA CLUSA Board election is handled electronically through Simply Voting, a secure, cost-effective and environmentally responsible online platform for election services.

The election results will be announced at NCBA CLUSA’s Annual Business Meeting and Town Hall, which will be held on May 7, 2024. The Annual Meeting will be held virtually, with an option for members to meet in person at NCBA CLUSA headquarters in Washington, DC.
